I watched eight episodes of Mawaru Penguindrum last night. Boy, was it good. Of course, if I’m this far behind on Penguindrum, you can guess what I missed in the industry.

  • BS Fuji is airing an experimental ad-lib anime in October
  • Sankarea, a manga featuring a moe girl who wants to become a zombie, gets an adaptation
  • ABe Yoshitoshi is making an appearance at Anime Weekend Atlanta
  • SEGA pisses off American fansannounces a Japanese release of Valkyria Chronicles 3 with bonus content

This thing is getting a voice.

 

I have no idea what happened last weekend, because it was EVO 2011 weekend, so I spent any time that wasn’t spent practicing Street Fighter was instead spent watching the broadcast of the tournament. Boy, did I miss a lot.

  • Puella Magi Madoka Magica is being dubbed in English
  • Speculation on Studio Ghibli’s next film
  • ACen room reservations are opening today!
  • A couple fabulous shows got licensed
